Hotel 1001 nott is a family-owned luxury hotel, beautifully situated in a quiet area by Lake Lagarfljót, approximately 5km from Egilsstaðir. Guests can explore the spacious hotel garden during their stay, take a walk on the sandy beach of Lake Lagarfljót, where a glacier river meets a freshwater one, or take a look at the pretty waterfall on the hotel property. The hotel offers a variety of facilities to nurture your soul and spirit. The guests are encouraged to enjoy stunning views and spectacular nature, outdoor hot tubs in a beautiful setting, local delicacies at the restaurant, Cognac lounge, bar, and other treats the hotel offers. The rooms are comfortable and spacious (22m2), each with a private entrance to the hotel garden. They are nicely designed, with large windows, double, or twin beds, private bathrooms with a shower, and they have free wi-fi. The owners, Ástvaldur and Kristín, have taken special care in designing the property, to provide maximum comfort and relaxation in harmony with nature. A perfect way to end a long day is to relax in the outdoor hot tubs, where you could find yourself watching the sunset or possibly the northern lights in wintertime. The nearest airport is in Egilsstaðir, 5 km away from the hotel.   Restaurant   The restaurant, bar, and cognac lounge are impressively designed, with a panorama view over Lake Lagarfljót, Fljótsdalur, and Snæfell.   Our chefs aspire to offer seasonal local delicacies with fresh raw materials, organically grown salad, and a selection of excellent wines. The breakfast buffet consists of a generous selection of freshly baked pastry and homemade products.

A nice hotel in the heart of Egilsstaðir, opposite to the East Iceland Heritage Museum, the sports ground and the local park. All 39 rooms have private bathrooms, Tv's and free internet access. The age limit for the spa is 12 years old. Eldhúsið - restaurant, the hotel's restaurant is innovative and ambitious. Eldhúsið offers Icelandic as well as international cuisine. The service is personal, cooking ingredients are fresh, local, and always of the very best quality for each season. Like the hotel itself, its cuisine is rooted in solid tradition. Still, the ingredients are now introduced with subtle changes and serve its meals with a new perspective, resulting in memorable culinary experiences. We value the quality of ingredients, and most of it is Icelandic, organic, and grown locally. Gistihúsið - Lake Hotel Egilsstadir has cross-country skis for rent during the winter. Hótel Aldan of Seyðisfjörður consists of three old but extensively renovated houses two of which are located by the little pond in the heart of this quaint old town in the Norwegian Schweitzer-style. Each house encompasses 9 rooms and a dining room as well.  Aldan restaurant has also been renovated and is now focusing even more on local Icelandic ingredients, mostly from the Eastern fjords. The third one, dating from the late 19th. century was used as banking premises for decades but has been renovated all while respecting traditional values. The house has 7 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. Most rooms have space for an additional bed and one room can accommodate a group of six. Flexible design makes it possible to combine some of the rooms to form a "suite" or family rooms for 4 to 6 persons. Next summer we will have 22 hotel rooms and two apartments that can accommodate up to 6 persons each. The apartments are situated in a building that housed the first school in town only a minutes’ walk from the main hotel building.

Blábjörg Resort is located in the idyllic fishing village of Bakkagerði in Borgarfjörður eystri.
