Music Festivals

LungA is an intimate art festival where creativity, arts, and culture are celebrated with workshops, lectures, and events. The festival goes off with a bang in a culmination of exhibitions and concerts that take place over the final weekend.

Bræðslan Music Festival is held yearly in an old abandoned fish factory in Borgarfjörður Eystri. The festival takes place at the same time every year, the last weekend of July.

KÖLD Music Festival takes place in Neskaupstaður in February every year. The residents of this remote town were tired of eventless winters and wanted to brighten up the dark days with a lively event - and just like that KÖLD was born.

The Hammond Festival in Djúpivogur was first held in 2006 and is, therefore, one of Iceland's oldest music festivals.
