If you plan East Iceland you are welcome to Vinland Guesthouse in Fellabaer a 2 min. drive from the Heart of Egilsstadir. Egilsstadir in its relaxing surroundings is the capital of the East, Fellabaer is a village on the opposite bank of the glacial lake/river Logurinn. Both communities are situated inland, in the largest lowland area of the East, where the climate is mild in summer and cold in winter. Finnsstaðir
Finnsstaðir is a family-run business located about four minutes away from the town Egilsstaðir.  Finnsstaðir offers a few things, open all year round. Guesthouse to rent, horse rental, and the horse stable is always open between 10:00 – 17:00 for a short guided tour through the stable to see the horses, take pictures and meet the locals, but we recommend booking the tour with a bit of notice. From 15. may until 15. September, the petting zoo is open.  Finnsstaðir horse rental offers horses with great temperament and clean beated tölt. The tölt is a natural, fluid gait of the Icelandic horse. Its extraordinarily smooth four-beat gait, which allows the rider an almost bounce-free ride. In Finnsstaðir, you ride out in a small private group with a local guide. Most of the riding tours are about one hour, and the owner‘s goal is to keep everyone safe, give all the guests a good experience and memories to keep as long as you live. Longer trips with experienced riders could be available, but just contact Finnsstaðir and ask for availability. On the farm is a big house to rent with three bedrooms and beds for six people. There are two bathrooms and a hot tub on the platform with a great view. The house is spacious and equipped with all standard modern comfort. Washing machine and dryer, the wifi in the house is very strong, and there is a kitchen to cook in. Finnsstaðir petting zoo is open from 10:00-17:00 every day from 15. may until 15.September. All year round, there are chickens and ducks on the farm and, of course, horses, but during the summertime, it is possible to visit and get to know lambs, calves, pigs, ducklings, rabbits, and guinea pigs.  The animals at Finnsstaðir love people, especially children from all parts of the world.

Post-hostel in Seydisfjordur is a newly opened hostel/guesthouse in the old post office building from the sixties, near the harbor with ocean view. There are 4 double rooms and 2 rooms for 4 people in the hostel. We offer new and comfortable beds. All beds are made, good towels and a shared bathroom. All guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen. Also a washer and clothes dryer. Free wireless internet and plenty of parking space.   
Bragdavellir Cottages
Bragdavellir - Cottages and a restaurant in Hamarsfjordur Bragdavellir Cottages At Bragdavelldir in Hamarsfjordur, east Iceland, we offer accommodation in 2-8 person cottages. The houses are equipped with all the essentials needed for a good rest and a nice stay. They all have a microwave, a refrigerator, and a stove. BBQ is also available for those who want. Bragdavellir is a short distance from a local town, Djupivogur, offering necessary service f.ex. bank, supermarket, health clinic and so on. Beautiful paths for walks are all around Bragdavellir, suited for both advanced hikers and beginners.  You might even run into our farm animals on your walks! (Ducks, chickens, horses, rabbits and sheep). In walking distance from the cottages is Bragdavellir Barn Restaurant for those who want to taste an of local ingredients. The restaurant is open during the summer months. Bragdavellir is a peaceful place, perfect for unwinding and breathing in clean, Icelandic air.  Bragdavellir Barn Restaurant At Bragdavellir in Hamarsfjordur, east Iceland, you can find a friendly family-owned restaurant. It is located in an old Barn and cowshed that has been renovated into a bistro restaurant offering a simple but good menu with an emphasis on local ingredients. Barn restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes you forget about everyday worries and gives you a chance to relax and unwind. Approx 20min walk from the restaurant is a beautiful waterfall named Snædalsfoss which is an easy hike to walk to. Along the way, you might run into our ducks, chickens, horses or even sheep. The restaurant is open during the summer months and you are welcome to call for further information. We also offer accommodation in 2-8 person cottages all year round. 
Mjóeyri Fjordlife
Mjóeyri Cottages are one of Eskifjörður’s trademarks. They are the charming, red-colored fishing sheds of Norwegian origin. Our cottages are located on the Mjóeyri peninsula, just outside the village, and offer unbelievable tranquility and a stunning view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains. We offer three kinds of cottages of different sizes.  Each cottage is homey and includes equipped kitchens, living area, and bathroom facilities.  TV, bed linen, towels, and free Wifi is available in the cottages.  The biggest cottages are 39m2 and can accommodate 4-6 persons and the smaller, 24m2 and 29m2, can accommodate 2-4 persons.  Breakfast is available upon advanced notice. Dinner is available during the summer season June – September and is served in our restaurant Randúlfs Sea House, about 500 meters from the guesthouse.  The original house was built in 1885. It has been renovated, updated, and newly decorated, and now it bears the mark of the old and the new times. We put our efforts into creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the guesthouse, there is an excellent view of the fjord and the town of Eskifjordur. We offer accommodations in four bedrooms; single, double and twin with joint cooking facilities, a living room, and washroom facilities. All rooms have radio and TV. The premises are a no-smoking area. A spacious veranda lends access to the breakfast room. Bathhouse with sauna, showers, toilets and washing machine is also available for our guests and Jacuzzi in a boat is located in front of the bathhouse.  
Hotel Eskifjordur
The hotel, which opened at the beginning of summer 2015, is situated in the centre of town with views across the fjord to the majestic "Holmatindur" mountain peak. Previously the premises of "Landsbanki Islands", the site that now houses Hotel Eskifjordur dates back to 1918 with the building itself dating back to 1968. Consisting of 17 double rooms, the hotel has been designed with your comfort and enjoyment a high priority and all local amenities are within short walking distance of the hotel. All of our 17 double rooms* are stylishly decorated and consist of: - en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and hairdryer - flat-screen TV offering a large selection of international channels - free Wi-Fi for guests - tea/coffee making facilities - blackout curtains to ensure a good night's sleep during the "midnight sun" months - comfortable lighting * We offer a wheelchair-friendly room suitable for the disabled. * We also offer a family room which can sleep 2 adults and 2 – 3 children."
Fjalladýrð
At Fjalladýrð Tourist Services, we provide our guests with the chance to experience traditional food, culture, and accommodation in peaceful surroundings. On our premises you will find a variety of nature walks and other forms of outdoor recreation. The Fjalladýrð team is conscious about the environment and we try to meet all the environmental challenges running a tourist service constitutes. We offer personal service, with the goal of allowing our customers to get closer to their origins. We work to achieve this by offering homemade food, traditional Icelandic rural culture and further recreation options tailored to the interests of each group or person. Fjalladýrð offers accommodation for up to 70 people in rooms with dressed beds and private or shared facilities. A well serviced camping ground is also at hand. The restaurant/café Fjallakaffi - "The Mountain Café" awaits you with homemade delicacies like "kleinur" and "Ástarpungar" - Icelandic doughnuts treats, not to mention the renowned Icelandic lamb meat soup, Icelandic moss-soup, local trout, and a local lamb steak. All this and more to be found on our menu. Möðrudalur is the highest settled farm in Iceland, 469 meters ( 1548 feet) above sea-level. It has been inhabited since early settlement in Iceland. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Möðrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 - 1971). He was a great farmer as well as an artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefán ,,Stórval" Jónsson (1908 - 1994), a one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways - judge for yourself. Möðrudalur/Fjalladýrð is a home base of the company Volcano Heli that offers different kind of sightseeing tours: www.volcanoheli.is  Our campsite is open from June to mid-September. For campers, and RVs we offer stays throughout the year depending on weather. Last but not least we sell Icelandic woolens and handicrafts made by local people as well as some snacks.
