Fjoshornid
Fjóshornið is located at the Egilsstaðir farm, where the same family has engaged in farming for nearly 130 years. Skyr, yogurt and cheese is produced all year round, made out of cows' milk, but Fjóshornið café is only open in the summertime. You can also buy beef directly from the farm. At the café, you can sit down in a cozy environment, enjoy homemade pastries and drink good coffee.

Skaftfell Bistró is located on the first floor of the Skaftfell Art Center, at Austurvegur 42, in Seyðisfjörður. The restaurant offers an innovative menu that reinterprets traditional Icelandic fare with an innovative twist. A section of the restaurant pays homage to the Swiss-German artist Dieter Roth, who lived and worked in Seyðsifjörður in the last decade of his life. In addition to original works by Roth, the restaurant also showcases the works of contemporary artists of East Iceland.

The Móðir Jörð products originate from the organic farm of Vallanes, in East Iceland. Móðir Jörð is recognised for organic Icelandic products made from ingredients which have been grown under natural conditions in the pure and unpolluted climate of Iceland.

At Bragdavellir in Hamarsfjordur, east Iceland, you can find a friendly family-owned restaurant. It is located in an old Barn and cowshed that has been renovated into a bistro restaurant offering a simple but good menu with an emphasis on local ingredients. Barn restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes you forget about everyday worries and gives you a chance to relax and unwind.
Approx 20min walk from the restaurant is a beautiful waterfall named Snædalsfoss which is an easy hike to walk to. Along the way, you might run into our ducks, chickens, horses or even sheep. The restaurant is open during the summer months and you are welcome to call for further information. We also offer accommodation in 2-8 person cottages all year round.

Nielsen Restaurant
Nielsen is a newly renovated restaurant in the heart of Egilsstaðir, East Iceland. The house, which is the oldest house in town, was built in 1944 by a danish man named Oswald Nielsen hence the name of the restaurant.
The owners of Nielsen restaurant are Sólveig and Kári. Sólveig was born and raised in Egilsstaðir. Kári is a renowned chef in Iceland who before moving to Egilsstaðir worked as a head chef at Dill restaurant in Reykjavík, the only restaurant in Iceland ever to receive a Michelin star (so far).
At Nielsen you can either sit inside or when the weather permits on the beautiful tree surrounded patio. The main focus of the constantly evolving hearty menu at Nielsen will be local and seasonal ingredients taken at the peak of their flavours, preserved or used fresh depending on availability.
Kári and Sólveig are both very passionate about cooking and cuisine and are most happy when sharing a good meal and drink with family and friends. At Nielsen restaurant they will try and share this passion with all of their guests.

The Fjalladýrð team is conscious about the environment and we try to meet all the environmental challenges running a tourist service constitutes. We offer personal service, with the goal of allowing our customers to get closer to their origins. We work to achieve this by offering homemade food, traditional Icelandic rural culture and further recreation options tailored to the interests of each group or person.
Fjalladýrð offers accommodation for up to 70 people in rooms with dressed beds and private or shared facilities. A well serviced camping ground is also at hand.
The restaurant/café Fjallakaffi - "The Mountain Café" awaits you with homemade delicacies like "kleinur" and "Ástarpungar" - Icelandic doughnuts treats, not to mention the renowned Icelandic lamb meat soup, Icelandic moss-soup, local trout, and a local lamb steak. All this and more to be found on our menu.
Möðrudalur is the highest settled farm in Iceland, 469 meters ( 1548 feet) above sea-level. It has been inhabited since early settlement in Iceland. Möðrudalur has served as a presbytery for centuries. The builder of the church in Möðrudalur was Jón A. Stefánsson (1880 - 1971). He was a great farmer as well as an artist and the altarpiece is made by himself. His son was Stefán ,,Stórval" Jónsson (1908 - 1994), a one of a kind character and a painter. The panorama view from the farm is interesting in many ways - judge for yourself. Our campsite is open from June to mid-September. For campers, and RVs we offer stays throughout the year depending on weather.

Aldan Hotel & Restaurant
Hótel Aldan of Seyðisfjörður consists of three old but extensively renovated houses two of which are located by the little pond in the heart of this quaint old town in the Norwegian Schweitzer-style. Each house encompasses 9 rooms and a dining room as well. Aldan restaurant has also been renovated and is now focusing even more on local Icelandic ingredients, mostly from the Eastern fjords.
The third one, dating from the late 19th. century was used as banking premises for decades but has been renovated all while respecting traditional values. The house has 7 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. Most rooms have space for an additional bed and one room can accommodate a group of six. Flexible design makes it possible to combine some of the rooms to form a "suite" or family rooms for 4 to 6 persons.
Next summer we will have 22 hotel rooms and two apartments that can accommodate up to 6 persons each. The apartments are situated in a building that housed the first school in town only a minutes’ walk from the main hotel building.

At our Tea bar, we make the most of the naturally warm and certified drinkable water of Lake Urriðavatn to offer our visitors a unique selection of organic and locally sourced herbal teas.
All of our tisanes are steeped in hot water from Lake Urriðavatn which runs out of the tap at 75 degrees celsius. Our tea is locally sourced and you’re likely to taste something entirely new! Additionally, we offer cool and refreshing tisanes made using the hot spring water from the lake and are then allowed to cool. A tisane is included in the admission fee.

With its new wing of guest rooms and panoramic sea and mountain views, Hotel Framtid in Djupavogir offers a comfortable stay in beautiful natural surroundings.
Our new wing has 18 well-designed 17 m2 rooms with shower and WC, telephone and TV. We also have 28 rooms with a basin in several buildings, four new self-catering summerhouses, 25 m2 each and three apartments which are 150 meters from the main building.

Laugarfell
Laugarfell is located in the eastern part of the Icelandic Highlands, a bit north from Mount Snæfell. There are only two km.from the road that leads to Kárahnjúkar to Laugarfell and it is the only part of the road that is not paved. In the summer there is good access to Laugarfell in all kinds of vehicles.
Laugarfell offers accommodation for 28 people. Two natural pools are located in Laugarfell and according to old folk tales the water is known for its healing powers.
There are many interesting tracking paths around Laugarfell and a number of beautiful waterfalls. Additionally, one can expect to see reindeer wandering around the area of Laugarfell.
Laugarfell is open from the 1st of June to 30 of September.We open by agreement during the winter time.
