Laugarfell is located in the eastern part of the Icelandic Highlands, a bit north from Mount Snæfell. There are only two km.from the road that leads to Kárahnjúkar to Laugarfell and it is the only part of the road that is not paved. In the summer there is good access to Laugarfell in all kinds of vehicles. Laugarfell offers accommodation for 28 people. Two natural pools are located in Laugarfell and according to old folk tales the water is known for its healing powers. There are many interesting tracking paths around Laugarfell and a number of beautiful waterfalls. Additionally, one can expect to see reindeer wandering around the area of Laugarfell. Laugarfell is open from the 1st of June to 30 of September.We open by agreement during the winter time.

Wilderness Center of Iceland - Center of Recreation The Wilderness Center is an authentic and peaceful hideaway, located right on the edge of Northern Europe´s most extensive wilderness. Many different day tours can be made from the Wilderness Center either self-drive or escorted. The Móðir Jörð products originate from the organic farm of Vallanes, in East Iceland.  Móðir Jörð is recognised for organic Icelandic products made from ingredients which have been grown under natural conditions in the pure and unpolluted climate of Iceland. The restaurant is open from 11 - 19:00 every day during the high season, 20th of June to the 20th of August. Opening outside of the summer months is from 11 - 16:00 every day.

A cosy guesthouse with 10 rooms and a Restaurant, we also have a 120m2 huse that we call The Villa that can be rented. We have a large Camping site with access to wc and showers 24/7, playing ground, barbecue area and possibility of renting a hall for up to 160 people for larger gatherings. We are located about 7 km from Hengifoss waterfall, in the heart of Fljótsdalur.

Cozy accommodation located in the countryside 18 km from the village Egilsstaðir on road 931. Peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, a good place to see the northern lights in wintertime. Here are 2 cottages 24 square meters with a bed up to 4 people. It includes WC and sink but showers are in the service house a few meters away as well as the kitchen/sitting area and a room with a pool table and dart. Besides the service house is a hot tub and sauna for our guests. We have 3 rooms in an apartment with 2 shared bathrooms and a kitchen. Everyone is welcomed by the host - personal service, homely atmosphere  - a home away from home. Short drive to visit great nature pearls, activities, restaurants, and places. The Snæfellsskáli lodge has space for 45 persons. It has oil - stove, heating system and WC. GPS location: 64.48.250N/ 15.38.600V. Heating, water, WC.  The campsite is located on a sand close to the cabin in the national park Vatnajökulsþjóðgarður and is by road no F909.  It is about 1 km away from the walking path to the mountain Snæfell. A few marked walking paths are also close by. All opening dates can change due to weather conditions.
